Reflection on my 4th quarter learning with Ms FontPage

During the fourth quarter, I had the opportunity to explore and learn about Microsoft FrontPage, a web design and development tool. Below is my reflection based on my experiences and accomplishments. I discovered how to create and design web pages using MS FrontPage. I learned about its WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor, which allows users to design web pages without needing extensive coding knowledge. I also gained insights into HTML basics, inserting images, adding hyperlinks, and formatting text to enhance the website’s appearance. Additionally, I explored themes, templates, and publishing options that make website creation more efficient. One of the main challenges I faced was understanding the interface and tools of MS FrontPage, especially when working with advanced features like forms and tables. Another challenge was dealing with compatibility issues, as MS FrontPage is an older software, and some modern web design practices are not fully supported. Lastly, tr...

Third quarter Progress and Future Goals

This third quarter has been a whirlwind of discovery for me! I've dove headfirst into web design, and other tools. It's been exciting to see my ideas come to life on the screen. Of course, there have been a few bumps along the way. Sometimes I find myself struggling to grasp certain concepts, but I've learned that asking my classmates for help is a fantastic way to clear things up. And when I need a visual explanation, social media is a goldmine of tutorials and tips! It's amazing how much I can learn just by watching others. Overall, this quarter has been a valuable learning experience, and I'm excited to continue exploring the world of web design. Moving on, I will focus on everything . I also want to improve my understanding of perhaps by working on more complex projects or exploring advanced CSS techniques. To achieve these goals, I will continue to utilize the resources that have helped me so far, such as collaborating with classmates and leveraging onli...

Vigan Cityhood

Image
Before Vigan became a city, it was a municipality steeped in history. During the Spanish colonial period, it served as a bustling trade hub due to its strategic location along the Abra River. Merchants from China, Spain, and other neighboring regions converged here, giving birth to a community that was rich in cultural fusion. The town flourished as an agricultural and trading center, with its fertile lands producing rice, tobacco, and other crops. Its residents, primarily Ilocanos, thrived on farming, fishing, and handicrafts. The town's unique architectural style began to take shape during this time, blending Spanish colonial influences with indigenous elements. Despite its growth, Vigan remained a municipality for centuries, known for its slow-paced rural life. The challenges of modernization, urbanization, and preserving its heritage often clashed, creating a delicate balancing act for its leaders and residents. The transformation of Vigan from a municipality to a city was a ...

Through my experiences this quarter, I learned the importance of persistence and asking for help when I'm struggling. I made use of online tutorials and peer discussions to improve my understanding of networking concepts. I also learned that breaking down tasks into smaller steps can help make large projects more manageable. I’ve also learned that digital literacy goes beyond just using tools; it's about understanding how those tools and technologies work behind the scenes. At first, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of tags and their specific functions. It felt like a whole new language! But as I started to break it down, the logic became clearer. I know this is just the beginning of my HTML journey. There's always more to learn, new tags to discover, and innovative ways to use them. I'm excited to keep exploring and building my skills. I realized that HTML tags are all about structure - they define the framework of a webpage, laying out the content and organizi...

THEMATIC QUARTER 2

Violence against women (VAW) remains a pervasive global issue, affecting millions and hindering progress towards gender equality. The Philippines, like many nations, has enacted legislation to combat this problem. This discussion will focus on two key Republic Acts—RA 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997) and RA 7877 (The Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995)—examining their significance in addressing different forms of VAW and their impact on promoting women's safety and rights. RA 8353, the Anti-Rape Law of 1997, represents a landmark piece of legislation in the Philippines. Prior to its enactment, the legal definition of rape was narrow and often failed to encompass the diverse experiences of survivors. RA 8353 broadened the definition, explicitly recognizing various forms of sexual assault and increasing the penalties for perpetrators. This strengthened the legal framework for prosecuting rape cases and provided a more comprehensive legal protection for victims. Subsequent am...
